Saw this in an office and had to have it. It uses distilled (recommended) water that needed to be purchased before using. Very easy to setup and it's a great addition to our living room.

i have the fountain set up in my kitchen. the running water is quiet. It runs just loud enough to think of a brook outside.

I like this very much. The only issue I had was the end of the water line didn't fit so I had to use rubbing alcohol and stretch it to attach to the pump. The noise of the motor is a little bit loud, but still very soothing for sleep.
