Locking Storage Container Bin - Safety & Security Storage Box (8 Gal. Capacity)

I am quite pleased with this lock box. I got it to lock medications in, specifically taller bottles like cough syrup. I have a teen that has been experimenting lately, so here we are. I love that the screws are inside, so it cannot be dismantled externally. I love that I can set my own combination so I can remember it without having it written where it can be found. This is plastic, so anything valuable would need to go elsewhere, since crashing it on the driveway would likely crack it open. For keeping curious hands off things they shouldn’t have, it will work well. The position of the screws is a bit tight, but with a lady’s hands it is quite doable as the pictures show. I love that it comes with the screwdriver and even a couple of extra screws. The instructions are user friendly and the labels inside are clear to see and match. It was a bit tough to click the side panels down onto the base, I used an aluminum water bottle’s base to help apply pressure on the lip to push it down and fully seat it in the grooves.

I am a 43 yo single fulltime Dad of two boys 7 and 6. I wanted a locking storage container for my household meds. One major factor it had to have was a “combination lock”. Keys get lost or you will leave them someplace the kids can access them and the lock box is now unsafe and easily accessible. That being said the lock is a bit hinky but for my purposes it will surfice, my kids know medicine is dangerous and won’t ever mess with it unless given by me. This box is just an extra step of precaution. Over all it does what it should. It would be nice if it had a top tray or half tray that slides/removes but honestly it’s pretty good as is. You will have to put it together which was a very simple process. I would recommend this to anyone with small children or anyone looking to keep their meds organized and out of curious hands.

I bought this lock box to keep a few hazards out of the hands of my very curious child as well as to store those items that I tend to forget where I put them. It is extremely spacious and can easily fit larger items such as a 3-ring binder (see image) or big medicine bottles. This box is made entirely of plastic and is not waterproof, so I don't recommend using it to store important documents, family heirlooms, or anything of significant value. For all other items that need to be kept in a secure place, this box is an excellent choice.
