DO NOT BUY, OR YOU'LL BE SORRY!!! These portable air conditioning units are cheaply made Chinese junk. This particular unit, which was used for 2 months and is less than a year old, decided to present an E5 error code and abruptly stop working. Don't waste your time looking for a troubleshooting E5 error code in the owner's manual, because you won't find it. A Google search reveals that the thermostat/motherboard is fried. Unfortunately for me, I purchased a second unit a week before the first unit crashed and burned, as did my mother-in-law due to my recommendation. We are both promptly returning the units (my second, her first) to Amazon before to avoid the inevitable. This is unfortunate because the unit blows impressively cold air, however it's totally unreliable. I own portable LG, Midea, and Black and Decker air conditioning units that are over 6 years old and they work flawlessly. I was hoodwinked by all the positive reviews on Amazon. But if you look at the one star reviews, you'll see that many other customers have experienced the same problem. And to make matters worse, the Serelife support team is invisible. I have attempted to contact them on multiple occasions

Waited and emailed multiple times, they have no solution and even had to escalate through Amazon.
They just want your money, they offered to send me a new one and want me to pay $70 shipping. As if i didn’t just pay for an expensive unit with them.
They are not understanding and the customer service is terrible.
If i wanted to spend more I would’ve bought an LG.

Used for a few months last year, did everything i was supposed to and keep getting an e5 error that’s not on the manual. Only worked properly for 2-3 months last year.

Updating previous review. Though it took a while to hear back from the support team, they did reach out and have offered to replace the damaged unit. Overall, I am hopeful that the new unit will work better than the first when it arrives.

Used it for 2 or 3 months last year and it worked perfect. Went to use it the start of this season and it wouldn't cool. I tried all of the trouble shooting and nothing was working. Had someone that knows more things about portable air conditioners and found that it was a coolant issue and my coils were freezing in places they shouldn't be. Communication with the company has been VERY slow and so far there has been no resolution. The first time I tried to use it this season and the issue occurred was well before the year warranty was up. Can try and update the review if a resolution is found.
